Space Heating and Cooling

Creation of an outline space heating specification for inclusion in the M&E pack presentation. This service involves:

  • Use DSM space heating demand figures to size and specify room specific heat emitters including underfloor heating and other low temperature distribution systems

  • Creation of an initial 2D layout to capture emitter and controller positions and distribution network layout

  • Creation of an initial 2D plant room layout on plan view only with associated energy generation position

  • Optimisation of layouts detailed above with any alternative options presented for review

  • High level specification of suitable heat generation equipment and buffering equipment

  • Space cooling analysis and passive control measures including the adoption of evaporative coolers where applicable


The following items are not included in the works above:

  • Size and specify an active cooling generation and distribution system. This can be integrated with the space heating or MVHR distribution network or designed as a standalone solution

  • Design and optimisation of shading features
